Hotel Thalmair was founded in 1977 by Lothar Thalmair, the present owner.
The building itself is much older, dating back to the great-grandfather
of the present owner. It was built in 1900 and was an inn when Grosshadern
was a rural community.
Since opening, Family Thalmair has constantly renovated the building.
General restoration took place in 2001. The year 2008 saw lavish modernisation
and a new extension.
